Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress who works in both film, television as well as theatre. She's best known as Teri Joe the fiery lawyer from the Showtime series Soul Food. In the years following her marriage the actress is now known for her role as Nikki Kodjoe. Contractor who was raised by his parents in Nigeria and Mumbai prior to turning 7years old, traveled all over all over the world and had a taste of diverse cultures when he was a kid. She attended the boarding school of London between 7 and 9 years. Then, the family relocated away from London to Toronto, Canada. Contractor was a brilliant student in Toronto and was trained to be the classical ballet dancer. She was enrolled in the Etobicoke School of the Arts. It's a high school that teaches arts in which she didn't just study theater but danced as well. Contractor, who had been dancing for nearly 10 years when she started when she decided to pursue acting. When she graduated from high school, Contractor accepted a scholarship at The University of Toronto to pursue an undergraduate degree in sociology and psychology. She also earned a Master's degree in Theatre. Contractor landed her first role following her first year at university. After the show ran for 92 times, she was rewarded with positive reviews. This play was named one of the most successful productions in Canada by the critics. The conservatory at Stratford takes eight people as well as four females along with a couple of others for a weeks crash course. Contractor was guaranteed a spot in the following season of shows and eventually landed the part as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
